This policy covers Shift Posting, a small internal tool that Image & Sound Media uses to publish The Shift with Mike & Joe. It is not a public app, and nobody outside our production team signs into it.

What Shift Posting does

Shift Posting uploads and schedules videos on The Shift with Mike & Joe’s own YouTube channel, and sets each video’s title, description, tags, thumbnail and publish time.

What data it uses

When our producer signs in with Google, Shift Posting asks for permission to manage The Shift’s YouTube account and upload videos to it. It uses that access only for the channel’s own videos. It does not read, collect or store information about viewers, subscribers or commenters, and it does not access any other Google data.

How the data is stored

The sign-in token Google issues is stored only on our producer’s computer. It is never sold, shared with anyone, or used for advertising.

Google and YouTube

Shift Posting uses YouTube API Services. Anyone using it is also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Shift Posting’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

Access can be removed at any time from the Google Account permissions page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
